Summary

«Ben:

+1 star with this reread。I think this one is a classic Anyta Sunday story。 You get a lovely main character in his early twenties who's juggling a lot of things at once and is scared of fucking up。 A caring, older love interest who has his life almost figured out, and who will always indulge the main character's unabashed flirtation because he's just so adorable - and I as a reader agreed on this! Protect precious Ben at all costs! They fall in lust, first, without acting on it because of Reasons - in this book, because Jack is a teacher at Ben's brother's school。 And then, in the span of a few months, naturally, they fall in love。In this series, and in this book in particular, I loved the comfortable domesticity of it。 Jack is renovating Ben's house, a year after Ben's parents died in a car accident, and he's basically living with Ben and his 11-year-old brother。 It's all these casual displays of domesticity that killed me - cooking together, arguing about junk food vs。 greens, going to the grocery store together, going on excursions with the adorable little brother, bird watching with binoculars in other people's gardens, figuring out parenting, etc。 (Jack is a huge help here, because in the beginning, Ben would almost systematically PAY his little brother to do what he asked for。。。 no comment)。 And I think it's something that's lacking in lots of romance, we see them flirt, have sex, fight, but we almost never see the little things of the everyday life。 Like, okay, you're sexually compatible, but how do you like living together? I guess most authors think it would be boring to read about this stuff, but it absolutely isn't! I can only think of Anyta Sunday and Christina Lee who do this so well, and that might explain why they are such comfort reads for me。 。。。more

Just sweet and beautifulThis was a simple beautiful read。 Loved Ben and Jack so sweet, beautiful men。 Milo was a good kid。 It was easily read, not much drama just two guys falling in love making a life for themselves and a kid。 Another 5 stars for the cover, it’s breathe taking。

This book was a flop for me! Just didnt enjoy it。 The first book in this series was absolutely my thing! Luke and Sam。 How do you not like luke? And one big peeve: the german edition of this book shows two men — neither have bright red hair (as ben supposedly does) — so who in the world is shown on the cover?! Did anyone bother to notice that the picture doesnt match the story? This book was a fail for me, but book 1 of this series was a pleasure to read。 I would say, read that instead。 :) 。。。more

Started this in February and only finishing it now in May。 I don’t know why it took me so long to read but it’s not bad。 I think I like it better than the first in the series。 It only really took me 2 days to finish (one day in Feb and now) although I skimmed some parts。

So。 I get what this book was going for, really。 It just fell short of it。 I don't usually enjoy kid books and this was en example as to why。 I get that kids can consume your life but they should not be the absolute centre of it to your mental health's detriment。 I also don't agree with making important life decisions such as where to live based on an 11-year old's whims。 Secondly, the age difference bothered me, even if Jack rarely acted like a 40 year old。 Ben and Milo were emotionally vulnerab So。 I get what this book was going for, really。 It just fell short of it。 I don't usually enjoy kid books and this was en example as to why。 I get that kids can consume your life but they should not be the absolute centre of it to your mental health's detriment。 I also don't agree with making important life decisions such as where to live based on an 11-year old's whims。 Secondly, the age difference bothered me, even if Jack rarely acted like a 40 year old。 Ben and Milo were emotionally vulnerable, very young (what's with the Fanta。。。?) and not really for a new person in their lives, really。 Thirdly, this made me feel slightly uncomfortable。 Ben pushed a lot and crossed so many boundaries。。。 It felt like he was behaving like an immature teenager and it sort of ruined the whole thing for me。 Finally, the conflict was so contrived。 So, overall, while the writing itself was good, the plot and characters fell short for me。 。。。more

4。5 stars!Heartwarming。 That's the only word to describe this book。Everything about this book gave me warm and fuzzy feelings - how Jack and Ben fall for each other, how they care for Milo, how the three build a home together (both metaphorically and literally)。I felt for Ben。 He was trying just so hard to hold everything together, and managing to do it too, despite what the school thought! Plus, his relationship with his younger brother was precious。 They're certainly a rowdy pair, and completely devoted to each other。When Jack enters the scene, he brings some order, and a lot better eating habits, along with him。 But he fits so easily into the brothers' lives, despite their grumbling about fewer sugary drinks。From the get-go, there's a live-wire connection between Ben and Jack。 The workplace rules that force the two men to be on their best behavior just delay the inevitable。But the result is what Anyta Sunday writes best - a slow burn with some killer UST。 Kudos to the two for being able to resist the pull of all of the flirting and lingering glances。And in the meantime, Jack and Ben slowly fall in love and create a life together without even realizing it。 Every shared moment was a building block for their happy ending。They were adorable。The happy ever after, once the hurdles were squared away, was perfect for everyone! Is there anything that makes me tear through a book faster than sexual tension? Yeahhhh I don't think so。 I think romance stories are like my ultimate way to pass the time。 I never get bored of it。 Anyway, this book served it's purpose。 I liked that the one guy was a birder。 I wish the two voices were a bit more unique from each other。 I kept getting confused on who's POV I was reading from。 Is there anything that makes me tear through a book faster than sexual tension? This second opus was as lovely as the first one。 Again the family dynamic added an extra touch to the romance。 Ben’s inexperience and clumsiness as his brother caregiver was so fresh and charming。 The title of this novel fitted perfectly well。 Easy-going Jack was really made for both Ben and his brother Milo。 I thought the age gap would put me off but surprisingly this was not the case at all as it didn’t really impacted their interactions。

I did think I would love anyone more than Luke, Sam and Jeremy but dang if Jack, Ben and Mills didn’t beat them to into the top spot in my heart。 Flip。 I loved everything about this book。 Milo is great。 She’s cheeky and funny and so adorable。 He’s a wonderful character。 I love that Ben is essentially just a grown up Milo, they’re so beautiful together and I love the brother-brother/son-parent relationship they have。 And Jack。 Dang, sexy older man Jack。 He’s lovely, so sweet and caring and solid I did think I would love anyone more than Luke, Sam and Jeremy but dang if Jack, Ben and Mills didn’t beat them to into the top spot in my heart。 Flip。 I loved everything about this book。 Milo is great。 She’s cheeky and funny and so adorable。 He’s a wonderful character。 I love that Ben is essentially just a grown up Milo, they’re so beautiful together and I love the brother-brother/son-parent relationship they have。 And Jack。 Dang, sexy older man Jack。 He’s lovely, so sweet and caring and solid and responsible and such man candy。 I adore all three of them!
